Follow the simple and easy steps to have a banner rotating/managing system on your website:
Step 1: Open conf.php and enter your mysql database information.
Step 2: Upload all the files into your server.
Step 3: Although some servers do not require to set the permissions to CHMOD 777 before the file can be written (It is done by default), but if your server does not do it by default then you need to set the permission of "bimg" folder to CHMOD 777.
Step 4: Open the URL: http://www.yourdomain.com/directory/setup.php and click START INSTALLATION. Then delete setup.php from server.
Administration Panel
To Log in to Administration Panel, use the following URL:
http://www.yourdomain.com/directory/ad.php
The Default ID is: admin
The Default Password is: password
You may change the ID and password after logging in.
Administration panel is made user friendly with necessary tips contained within it.
You will have no trouble in running the administration panel.

Setting up banner groups :
Setting up groups of banners enables you to categorize groups of banners depending on sites, types or sizes.
Setting up banners :
Select Add a banner.
Select the type of banner you are going to add.
Image banner:
Choose the banner size for your new banner.
Click browse to select a local image banner to upload.
Fill in the Alternate text you would like.
Enter the destination url to send visitors to.
Select a group to add your new banner to.
Enter an expiry date for your banner.
Click Add to save.
Text banner:
Choose the banner size for your new banner.
Enter a Heading for your text banner.
Enter the destination url to send visitors to.
Add the text description for your new ad.
Select a group to add your new banner to.
Select the "type" of text banner. (Single, 1x2, 1x3, 2x1, 3x1, 2x2) More info below!
Enter an expiry date for your banner.
Click Add to save.
Flash banner:
Choose the banner size for your new banner.
Click browse to select a local flash banner to upload.
Select a group to add your new banner to.
Enter an expiry date for your banner.
Click Add to save.
Note: There is NO url destination for the flash banner. Destination URL must be setup from within the flash file.
Text banner explanation
Single, 1x2, 1x3, 2x1, 3x1, 2x2
When selecting the type of text banner you can select the properties of your new banner.
Single: This is a straight forward single text banner that will display to the size you have previously selected.
1x2: Displays 1 row of 2 text banners.
1x3: Displays 1 row of 3 text banners.
2x1: Displays 2 rows of single text banners.
3x1: Displays 3 rows of single text banners.
2x2: Displays 2 rows of 2 text banners.
When entering the text banners a "live" preview is available for you to see exactly how your new banner will look.
To enter 2 or more text adverts within the same text banner you must enter a divider for the script to recognize the end of one banner and the start of another. Just enter @@
So if you was going to enter a new text banner size 468x60 and you wanted to display two different text adverts you would enter the banner information as below.
Select banner size: 468x60
Enter a Heading for your text banners: Heading One@@Heading Two
Enter the destination urls to send visitors to: www.domain1.com@@www.domain2.com
Add the text description for your new ads: Text description advert one@@Text description advert two
Watch the "live" preview as you add the banner advert text and you will see it is straight forward.
If you create your own size banners you can in effect have any number of text adverts by simply adding @@ where required. |
